Have a complex topic?

Require engagement?

Try storytelling.

Even in B2B marketing, readers want a story.

Readers want to understand why a new technology or concept should be adopted for their businesses. If the reader is in the C-suite, they want to know the business value. At the tech pro level, they require technical information.

I conceptualize, develop, and execute high-quality content that ranges from optimized longform blogs to punchy campaign copy. I additionally translate complex topics and technical jargon into social posts, infographics, sponsored content, eBooks, white papers, speeches for the C-suite, and op-eds. I bring a unique perspective from my being both a widely published journalist and an award-winning filmmaker.

My work has appeared in The New Yorker, Forbes, and The Atlantic.

My clients are both startups and established enterprises in the Fortune 500.

More about me

I am the former Multichannel Content Lead at Archetype, where I acted as the staff ghostwriter of op-eds and eBooks (and C-suite speeches, landing pages, and blog posts).

My clients required a writer who could grasp their intentions within minutes. I could do it because I have experience as a staffer at demanding, fast-moving media outlets such as The New Yorker and Business Insider.

The New York Times praised my contribution to a travel anthology as a writer. Esquire cited my work in the award-winning journal Guernica magazine, where I was Senior Editor. Guernica is a seven-time PEN World Voices participant. It recently won the AWP Small Press and PEN Editor awards.

My Guernica work was praised by Esquire and received several major literary awards, such as the Caine Prize for African Writing (known also as the “African Booker”).

As Guernica Senior Editor, I first assigned and edited news stories and then became the site’s founding Fiction Editor. I worked with hundreds of beginning writers—and five Nobel Laureates.

The pieces I edited have won many awards, including Best of the Web, Best of the Net, and Africa’s top literary prize, The Caine Prize (often referred to as “Africa’s Booker Award”).

I was also a contributing film editor for Maxim and a television reviewer for Time Out New York for many years.

I have an MFA in film from Columbia University, and my screenplay was optioned by a major film production company. Two award-winning 16mm short films I directed played festivals around the world and won awards at festivals such as Chicago International.
