Who I Am
I'm a fiction writer, fiction editor, former staffer at The New Yorker, Forbes Inc, and New York Times Custom Publishing. My editorial work has appeared in a variety of magazines (all of the way from Maxim to Good Housekeeping). My copy writing has been featured in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and Condé Nast Traveler.
I am the recipient of scholarships to Bread Loaf Writers' Conference (a difficult award to get) and Summer Literary Seminars in Russia.
I've been anthologized in four times. My nonfiction has been praised in The New York Times. My work as an editor was lauded in Esquire.
I have an MFA from Columbia University and a screenplay of mine was once optioned by a major film production company.

I Have a New Short-Short Fiction Piece on Wigleaf
I have a short fiction piece in the latest issue of Wigleaf. Wigleaf is one of the top journals of super-short fiction (fiction of the very sort that Guernica, by the way, does not usually run). I love Wigleaf—the stuff … Continue reading

New in elimae: A Microfiction Piece
I’m so happy to be in elimae! I remember that site from years and years ago, before I even thought of writing anything but screenplays. They’ve since outlasted legions of literary sites by years. I mean YEARS. (They were founded … Continue reading

My reading last night
I thought the reading went well. Packed house. Read a story that’s unpublished, “A Big Big Love.” Now to send it out. . .
