I noticed that the homeless situation had gotten worse in Japan: old men were sleeping in train stations. In fact, many people seemed a bit more desperate than they had the last time I was there.
Others (much as I did when I was younger) just took out their anger in listless wondering of the streets in search of bars and bright lights. This item just showed up in the news. A woman had been living, undetected, in a man’s closet for over a year.
